Smyrna School District
All Smyrna Schools have some bleedover of wireless service from the buildings into school parking lots. In the near future, Smyrna will be expanding wireless into parking lots at Smyrna High School, Smyrna Middle School, Clayton Intermediate School, and Sunnyside ELementary School.
Public Wireless Hot Spots throughout Smyrna
The Town of Smyrna has created public wireless spots throughout town that are
available for anyone to connect to:
Town Hall area
Commerce Street
Market Street
Main Street
South Street
Lincoln Street
The Smyrna Public Library has some wireless available outside the building, though limited.
Bloosurf Internet
The State Department of Technology, partnering with
Bloosurf, a wireless provider, has expanded wireless to many areas of the
county that were either not served or under-served. Two services are offered:
15mb service for $60 per month
25mg service for $80 per month.
No “land line” Service Available - BlooSurf - DOE Special Free Internet Offer
To those families that have no “land line” based internet option, BlooSurf has teamed up with the Delaware Department of Education to offer free installation and 3 months of service.Subsequent charges are $30/mo. Service available 8am-8pm with this offer.
Step 1 - Contact BlooSurf by calling 1-866-319-7172 to determine if your address is serviceable.
Step 2 - If you are in their service area, contact Smyrna Child Nutrition at (302) 653-3134 to obtain an eligibility form. CNP will provide the form. Complete this form as soon as possible. Please provide a document verifying you participate in one of the following programs: Free and Reduced Lunch, Medicaid, Public Housing Assistance, SNAP, TANF, SSI, NSLP/Head Start, LIHEAP, WIC.
Step 3 – Child Nutrition will forward the application to the Delaware Department of Education. If you have qualified, a DOE representative will notify you by phone number on the form
Xfinity Internet Essentials:
As we approach the start of a what is sure to be a challenging new school year, Comcast continues to offer two free months of internet service to new Internet Essentials customers and keeping our Xfinity wi-fi hotspots open to non-customers through December 31,2020.
