Due to limited financial resources, commitments to previously approved projects and more pressing needs in other districts, the state was not able to support our entire plan.  However, the state did approve funding to address the most critical needs in our most overcrowded school, North Smyrna Elementary.  In this first phase, the state has approved renovations to the mechanical and roofing systems at North Smyrna Elementary.  If approved, the district is planning for work to commence in the summer of 2020/2021 to minimize any impacts on instruction.
